"Line Conditioning"
Components

The use of line
conditioning units, while not always necessary, will generally improve
the performance and
extend the life of valves or other downstream components. In
addition to traditional units such as filters,
regulators and lubricators, ROSS also recommends the installation of
a lockout/exhaust device to prevent the
unexpected actuation of equipment during maintenance or service
procedures. Such capabilities often are
specified in safety regulations. The ROSS EEZ-ON valve
has also become popular; when the system is
pressurized, this unit prevents sudden or jerking motions which can
result in damage to the equipment.
